Our Grading Policy...
The Why...
We believe that in order to develop the skills, knowledge, and dispostions needed to be an effective graduate we need quality feedback along the way. Grades allow us to communicate where each student is at in the learning process. The goal is to focus on the learning and creating that happens in the classroom...not the accumulation of points.

Skills for SuccessThis section doesn't count towards the final grade but is assessed as we value this feedback in helping all our students move forward. We focus on creativity, collaboration, and accountability.

Tidbits:
- Homework is not graded.
- Review sheets are not provided because we are not interested in what students can "cram" the night before and forget 3 days later.
- Content assessments are provided when we feel the class is ready.
- If mastery is not achieved on the first assessment...we continue to work with the students to obtain mastery. This can be done in a variety of ways including the opportunity to take another (different) assessment.
